Romantic, rustic, shabby chic – think Pride and Prejudice meets barn. This accurately describes Will and Ashlee Browder’s wedding scene. A keen eye and ear picked up on their Pride-and-Prejudice-themed wedding.
The main barn at Sunny D Farms was exquisitely decorated by Jodi Marchman at ShadeTree Event Rentals. Each place setting was a different set of flowery china. The centerpieces were out of this world romantic. For example, one table had stacked teacups surrounded by spongy moss with a smooth, white pearl necklace draped over the whole arrangement. It was very classy and neatly mixed the outdoors with the indoors, the old-fashioned with the new-fangled. Another centerpiece consisted of old hardcover books with teacups, candles, and pearls around – a modern take on old treasures.
The music at the ceremony was delightfully simple, classical, instrumental music – the same musical pieces that you hear in the 2005 Film Pride and Prejudice. Ah!
Ashlee’s dress was a gorgeous floor-length white dress with intricate details and a fingertip veil gracefully gliding down her back. The sleeves on her dress were slightly off-the-shoulder and made of wispy, romantic fabric that enhanced her natural beauty and again hinted at her wedding theme.
At this wedding you could see and even feel the love that Ashlee and Will shared with each other. I nearly cried during the ceremony (and I almost never cry!). Ashlee’s sweet giggles, and Will’s adoring glances just affirmed the love that these two have for each other.
And my favorite part of the whole day was when Matt referred to himself as “your Prince William” at the conclusion of his personalized vows. My heart melted!
Ashlee, Will, you two were wonderful to work with. And even though the ceremony ran an hour behind because of the rain, it was absolutely gorgeous inside! I was in awe at how beautiful your wedding was – from the decor, to Ashlee’s dress, to venue itself. It was a pleasure working with you both. I wish y’all a most happy and long-lived marriage!
