The robotics video I completed for the Museum of Aviation is a genre-defying video. It serves as an informative piece -describing Robotics Camp and showing kids what they will be doing if they come – and as a commercial – advertising the camp and obtaining interest.
The beginning of the video is a copycat of the first few seconds of the first scene of the movie Cars. In utter darkness, Lightening McQueen says a keyword gearing himself up for the race, then a flash of something exciting happens. It happens about four times. I mimic the same idea in the first few seconds of my video.
After that intro, I take the viewer through the camp, showing the different activities the kids do in an order that builds interest and excitement, leading up to the final event and the revelation of this year’s competition winners. I hope you enjoy it.
